Balloon Car 701, seen here outside Rigby Rd depot, was fitted with a snow plough over winter 2012/13. It was used on clearing duties on a couple of wintry days in January but later reverted to standard guards. What looks like engineering department paintwork was actually the base of a previous advertising livery but very appropriate for a tram not in passenger service. It was later reliveried and now forms part of the heritage fleet See image 51396
