Nyon
From a high point of 1208m near Lacure see image 25796, which probably gets rather cold, the metre gauge electric railway to Nyon terminates at a warm and dry underground station at a mere 395m, adjacent to the SBB line to Geneva - a 913m fall over 23km, or an average gradient of around 1 in 25.
