Masham

The former Masham station and goods yard in June 2011. The station, which stood at the end of a single line from Melmerby North Junction, was once served by branch trains from Ripon. Closed to passengers in 1930, Masham remained open for freight for another 33 years. On the left is the old station building and station master's house, with former railway cottages beyond. The old goods shed on the right has now been converted to a cafe and picture gallery.
