Gretna Junction

Looking north from the A6071 road bridge at Gretna on 3 August 2007, with the modern day overhead mish-mash of steel and spaghetti doing its best to prevent a half decent photograph see image 41108. The train is the morning Basford Hall - Coatbridge containers with the usual pair of Freightliner class 86 locomotives in charge. The train is about to cross the border over the River Sark and take the Beattock route north at the junction.
