Kittling Hill Quary

The trackbed of Brand's railway, Bamburgh, in September 2012. The 3 ft gauge railway ran from Kittling Hill whinstone quarry to Budle Pier. View south east with the track bed curling around to Kittling Hill. The fairway for the par 5 third hole is 10m to the right. Club house in the left distance with Bamburgh Castle seated on the massive whinstone outcrop on the right. The railway, which utilised steam locomotive haulage, closed during WW1.
