Ribble Steam Railway Workshops

LMS 3F 0-6-0T 47472 was an ever present feature of Preston station for many years and known as City of Preston by local enthusiasts. 47472 was scrapped in 1967 but the Ribble Steam Railway brought classmate 47406 from the GCR for a Preston Guild event and recreated the local legend. The Jinty is seen here backing onto a rake of coaches in the RSR depot on 4 August 2012 prior to working the first train of the day.
