Bolton MPD
A damp and misty morning on Bolton shed, featuring ex-Lancashire & Yorkshire 0-6-0 no 52523. The locomotive, of 1909 vintage, had been withdrawn in September 1962 and is seen here having been 'stored' at the end of a siding. The photograph is thought to have been taken during a visit on 29 June 1963 (although there is some conflict with reported disposal dates).
