Newcastle West Junction

On a fine evening in June 1970, Peak No. D170 grinds round the sharp curve on the up goods line at the west end of Newcastle Central station. The train is thought to be a return working of 'Freightliner' flats from South Gosforth to Follingsby with the locomotive still displaying the reporting number from a previous working.
