Hopeman

Still gainfully employed, sixty years after closure to passengers, the branch terminus building at Hopeman serves as the offices for a caravan park near the village centre. This view, along the old platform towards Burghead, would have been over the buffers in operational days. Passenger trains only ran from 1891 to 1931 but freight lingered until 1957 before being cut back to Burghead.
