Hull, Draper's Scrapyard
Black 5 No. 45305 photographed in Draper's scrapyard, Hull, on 12 August 1970. The diesel locomotive on the left is Clayton no D8605. The former Hull and Barnsley Railway Neptune Street yard eventually became the last port of call for in excess of 500 steam locomotives. Happily this particular example was rescued and later preserved see image 38661.
