Carlisle
Britannia Pacific no 70039 Sir Christopher Wren stands alongside the west wall at the north end of Carlisle station in August 1964. One of several of the class to spend its final operational days at Carlisle, no 70039 was eventually withdrawn from Kingmoor shed in September 1967 and said its final goodbyes from the yard of Messrs McWilliams at Shettleston in January 1968.
