Haddington

View from the trackbed of the former Haddington branch, taken from the outskirts of Haddington looking west on 26 June.  The overbridge carries the former A1.  Those extra supports can't be original.  All but the last few hundred yards of the branch were converted many years ago to a walkway which, in the absence of obstructions, faithfully follows the trackbed from the branch platform face at Longniddry.  The only exception is for the current A1 dual carriagway where a slight diversion is needed because of the skew.
