Charing Cross [GC and DR]

'Charing Cross: alight here for Mitchell Library and King's Theatre'
says the sign.  An older version, hidden in the gloom of the disused end of the other platform shows its age by adding 'Strathclyde Regional Council Headquarters': regions were abolished in 1996.  318 256 emerges from Finnieston Tunnel on 19 June with an Airdie service.  It will come to a stop with the front of the train already in the next tunnel, Charing Cross. After that a very brief gap before Queen Street Lower Level station then... another tunnel.  No wonder strangers think this is 'the underground'.
