Aldcliffe

The Glasson Dock branch hugged the tidal stretch of the River Lune for most of its length making the cycle track that uses the old trackbed a very pleasant spot on a fine day. The metal railway fence is still in place for most of the way and, as can be seen from the driftwood, a high tide will reach the boundary of the track. In the right distance the port of Glasson Dock can be seen, and the cycle track can be followed all the way there through Ashton Hall, see image 19582, and Conder Green, see image 19567.
