North Elmham

The shunter hitches a precarious ride from 31106 as the loco runs around its train of grain wagons in June 1987. The granary at North Elmham closed 18 months later, thus bringing an end to all rail traffic north of Dereham (passenger traffic ceased in 1964). The disused line and station remain for possible reopening as an extension of the Mid Norfolk Railway, but the granary is long since demolished to make way for housing.
