Larpool Viaduct

Looking east along the Esk towards Whitby from the south bank in April 2009 with the Scarborough and Whitby Railway's Larpool Viaduct dominating the scene. The Whitby - Grosmont route still passes below the viaduct (third arch from left) while the steep connecting spur that once ran from Whitby Town to Whitby West Cliff ran through the leftmost arch.
