Knaresborough

A candidate for the Top 10 surviving unusual signal boxes must be Knaresborough, stone built on the side of another building as shown. The white brickwork in the foreground is the subway entrance and there is a controlled pedestrian level crossing too. 144020 has just crossed over after arriving from Leeds and is setting back into the station ahead of the return journey.
