Early diesel casualties from the BR Modernisation Plan. Condemned BTH and NBL 800 bhp type 1 locomotives, with D8243 at the head of the line. Photographed looking along one of the numerous sidings between some of the many outbuildings making up part of the massive sprawl that was Stratford in 1968.
