Looking over Clayhills carriage sidings, Aberdeen, early on a Sunday morning in November 2006. While much of the city is sitting down to breakfast and the Sunday papers, a GNER HST set (centre) is warming up prior to moving into the station where it will form the 0950 Aberdeen - Kings Cross. The second set will form the 11.42 service to the same destination, while the stock of the Aberdeen portion of the Caledonian Sleeper, will not be required for another 12 hours.
