In an eerie combination of bright morning sunshine and a thin mist, the Rosebay Willowherb around Carstairs station almost seems to glow as EWS 90031 pulls up well beyond the platform with the 15 coaches of the Edinburgh / Glasgow Sleeper from Euston at 06.15 on 8 August 2006. Once the rear 7 coaches have been uncoupled, 90031 will continue on its journey to Glasgow Central.
