Nice day for a walk... at least it was when we set out! A fine misty rain arrives from the west near Strathcarron in early October 2009. Passing by is the 11.01 ex-Inverness on its way to Kyle of Lochalsh.

Wet day at Strathcarron on 28 September 2009 as the 1101 ex-Inverness pulls away from the platform and crosses the A890 with approximately 20 miles to go to reach its final destination at Kyle of Lochalsh.

Approaching Strathcarron from the west is this unusual and eyecatching information sign. The engine depicted is definitely not a Skye Bogie and could be of Churchward origin.
