A Tweedbank service clears the junction on the approach to Newcraighall on 5 June. The feathers are for the connection with the Sub at Niddrie West, and the line to the right is the Millerhill.

A type 2 emerges from the early morning mist as it leaves the north end of Millerhill yard with a mixed freight in August 1971. The train has just passed one of the yards long disused water towers as it takes the left fork at Niddrie South Junction and heads for the westbound sub.
