In October 1981, 20225+20227 pass the old Lothian lines bridge remains just south of Brunstane and head towards Millerhill with a PW train. The sub can just be seen in the bottom right corner as it turns towards Niddrie West Junction.

Waverley - Newcraighall service turns southeast towards its final destination just after leaving Brunstane on 5 July 2007 as the sub turns southwest towards Niddrie West Junction.

A Newcraighall - Dunblane train approaching Brunstane in October 2002 past the site of Niddrie North Junction and the remains of the bridge which once carried the high level Lothian Lines on their way to Portobello West and on to Leith docks. The single line ^sub^ turns off to the right heading for Niddrie West. [See image 36752]
