The 1205 Voyager to Plymouth on 6 December 2006 stands opposite the hole in the wall on the new Klondyke platform. The hole will provide access to the cross-station walkway in the background via a new stairway on the other side.

New stabling point at Waverley. What is now a dead-end siding running alongside the south wall of the station opposite platform 7, is now regularly used to accomodate locomotives used on First ScotRail^s Caledonian Sleeper services. The siding is shown here on 19 November with EWS locomotive (and sleeper regular) 90035 stabled alongside the southside crossover.
