The lines to the Far North and Kyle of Lochalsh split to go their separate ways half a mile north of Dingwall station. The photograph, taken from one of the two foot crossings on an overcast 1 October 2009, shows 158720, forming the 1203 service from Kyle, slowly approaching the junction to join the route from Wick and Thurso as it turns south towards Inverness.
