View over Cromdale Station, on the former Elgin-Aviemore line, looking north from the bridge in August 2006. The trackbed is now part of the Speyside Way.

View north over Cromdale in April 1984, almost 16 years after complete closure of the line. If you look very closely behind the station buildings you can just make out the profile of the cutting to the Balmenach Distillery. (Railscot note: Much restoration work has taken place at the former Cromdale station since this photograph was taken [see image 1141]).

A special heading south for Aviemore along the Speyside line makes a photostop at Cromdale on 2 November 1968, just prior to the final closure of the line. Cromdale station itself had been closed by BR more than 3 years earlier in October 1965. [See image 24580]
