A misty morning on the Tyne a mile west of Hexham station in May 2006. The photograph is taken looking north from alongside the site of Border Counties Junction on the Newcastle - Carlisle route [see image 9290] and shows the remains of the bridge that took the Border Counties Line across the river at the start of its journey north to Riccarton Junction.
