In 1964 the Great North of Scotland trespass sign remained on one of the station doors at Blacksboat, 41 years after the company was grouped into the London and North East Railway.

Blacksboat Station now looks to be a private dwelling. It has a new front entrance and a lot of renovation work has been done on the roof. The trackbed is part of the Speyside Way.
