In 1964 the Great North of Scotland trespass sign remained on one of the station doors at Blacksboat, 41 years after the company was grouped into the London and North East Railway.

In August of 1964 a railbus leaves Blacksboat station westbound. The view gives a good general view of the station^s situation. The goods shed is off to the right. [See image 54234]. The bridge in the background crosses the River Spey, today carrying the B9138.
