Unusual motive power for a westbound Fort William-Mallaig train at Beasdale in Summer 1966 - a two-tone green BR ^Derby^ Type 2 (later Class 25) hauling maroon-liveried stock.

David Spaven [//1966]

On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until the end of August there are two steam hauled excursions on the Mallaig extension. Here we see 44871 hammering up the 1 in 48 Beasdale Bank with the second train of the day. The headboard reads ^The Cambrian^ for reasons unknown.
