The body of a tender, which was donated to the Strathspey Railway when Lochgorm Works in Inverness was redeveloped, is seen at the Aviemore shed site in April 1979. It was evidently a ^lost cause^ and was sent to landfil as it wasn^t suitable for scrap.

Brush Type 2 No. D5862 (aka 31 327) is about to back on to the stock for a Strathspey Railway Association AGM members^ special to Boat of Garten at Aviemore on 4th November 2017. Sadly the loco - the very last of its class to enter service in 1962 - failed shortly afterwards and the train was cancelled!
