Peak Forest Railway (Midland Railway)

Introduction

The northern part of this line is part of a Manchester to Sheffield route. The southern portion is a freight only line serving limestone quarries and works around Peak Forest and Buxton. The southern portion once formed part of the route south east to Matlock and on to Derby.
