Introduction

This 3ft timber extraction railway was built in the Great War. It ran west from Carrbridge (Inverlaidnan Siding) to Inverlaidnan. It was opened in 1918 and closed in the early 1920s. A similar line of 2ft gauge existed in the Second World War.
