Princes Dock Joint Railway

This railway is closed. It ran from General Terminus in Glasgow to join the Govan Branch and provided railway sidings at the Princes Dock. The line was owned jointly by the Caledonian Railway, Glasgow and South Western Railway and the North British Railway.

From General Terminus to Govan.

General Terminus

Top

Here the line joined the General Terminus sidings to the west of the fan-out at the site. The junction faced south towards Tradeston.

Princes Dock

The line approached the east end of Princes Dock from the south west.

Ibrox Stadium

Top

There were excursion platforms for the Ibrox Stadium at Ibrox on the Princes Dock line.

The line joined the Govan Branch at a south facing junction. Just to the south was the junction of the Govan Branch with the Glasgow and Paisley Joint Railway, that junction facing east.
