Bairds of Gartshore's Railway

This private coalmine serving line is completely closed. The mines were opened by William Baird & Company who owned the Gartsherrie Ironworks.

This short private line ran from mines at Gartshore north to cross the Forth and Clyde Canal and on to Twechar and Kilsyth to serve coalmines.
