Glasgow Airport Link
This is a regularly recurring ambition which
has yet to come to fruition. Glasgow Aiport does not have a station or railway
connection.

about the Glasgow Airport Link
There have been a number of plans for a railway
connection between Glasgow Airport and the railway system. For instance:
- a 'people mover' between the airport and
Paisley Gilmour Street station. (Schematic 1)
- re-use of the trackbed of the former Paisley
and Renfrew Railway from Arkleston to the River Cart, which would be crossed
by a new bridge, and then to the Airport. (Schematic 2)
- a branch running from the Glasgow,
Paisley and Greenock Railway near Paisley St James to a terminus at the
Airport. Trains would run from either Glasgow Central or Glasgow Charing Cross
via High Street and the unbuilt St Johns link. This
is the present plan. (Schematic
