This station has been opened. It is to the west of Edinburgh in the Edinburgh Park Business Park.

This is a new station to the west of Edinburgh within the confines of Edinburgh Park, a business park by South Gyle, which includes buildings such as the Hermiston Gait shopping centre. The station is due to opened in 2003 and became the first station intermediate station between Haymarket and Linlithgow since 1951.
The station has two platforms, a building on each platform, lifts to a covered footbridge between the platforms.
Bathgate and Dunblane services call, giving four trains an hour to Haymarket and Waverley and two to Brunstane and Newcraighall. Some consideration is being given to stopping Edinburgh and Glasgow through services here.
