This line is open. It extended the London and Croydon Railway to Brighton. It later merged with that line to form the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. The line was joined by the South Eastern Railway at Redhill - and was forced by government to sell a portion of its line (Redhill to Coulsdon) to that company. |
