Eden Valley Railway

This line is closed, although track remains for a portion between Appleby and Warcop. The line carried much steelworks freight traffic between the north east of England and Workington in Cumbria.

From Penrith to Kirkby Stephen (East). The original junction at Clifton faced south. This was closed and a new line opened via a new station at Clifton Moor in the early part of the 20th century.
